Joshua Shultz MD FACP

Dr. Joshua Shultz completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois–Chicago before joining the UCF/HCA Internal Medicine Residency Program at Greater Orlando/Osceola as core faculty. He served as a full-time academic clinician, supervising residents in both the inpatient setting and the continuity clinic.
Dr. Joshua Shultz was the Program Director for the Transitional Year Residency at Greater Orlando/Osceola for three years and also held the role of Assistant Program Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Internal Medicine residency. His leadership focused on advancing resident education, fostering a culture of patient safety, and supporting continuous quality improvement across clinical settings.
Allison Ferrara MD FACP
Associate Program Director
Dr. Allison Ferrara completed her Internal Medicine residency at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama, where she also served as Chief Medical Resident. Following her training, she worked as a hospitalist at Tulane University before relocating to Orlando, Florida, to join the UCF/HCA Internal Medicine Residency Program at Greater Orlando/Osceola as core faculty.
Dr. Ferrara has worked full time as an academic clinician, supervising residents in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Over the past three years, she served as Clinic Director for the continuity clinic, where she led numerous initiatives to improve workflow efficiency and enhance patient care.
She now serves as Associate Program Director and Clinic Director for the Lake Monroe Internal Medicine Continuity Clinic.
Hasib A Ibne-Rasa MD
Associate Program Director
Dr. Hasib Ibne-Rasa completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He is originally from Pakistan and went to medical school at King Edward Medical University. He did his internship at University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital. During his residency, he was nominated for best teacher award. He has worked at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital for over 20 years and with Team Health for over a decade! He currently serves as the Team Health Medical Director and as Chairman for the Board of Trustees at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital. He was previously Chief of Medicine and Chairman of the Utilization Review Committee at Lake Monroe. He has worked with countless medical students and observers. He was also the medical site director for the UCF College of Medicine Internal Medicine Clerkship rotation at Lake Monroe Hospital.
